A pine needle basket pendant, stitched from white pine needles from my garden with delicate brass wire, on a hand-fabricated brass setting of overlapping circles to combine all of the phases of the moon into one symbol.
This pendant can be worn either with the pine needle basket at the front, or with the brass moons at the front.
The pine needles have been sealed with resin to make them durable.
The pendant is sewn to a braid, hand-loomed on a Japanese kumihimo braiding loom, from Icelandic wool from the flock at a local farm.
The braid is about 30 inches long, and the pendant is about 3 inches long and 5 inches wide.
