Original artwork by Melanie Brauner. Inspired by the experience of looking down as you walk across a forest floor strewn with moss-covered stones.
Hollow bronze stone-shaped armatures, coated in paper that has been textured to look like moss. The paper has been dyed with pigments, and also inks made that I made from moss.
The tangle of foliage is made from paper petals formed from copper loops filled with handmade paper.
All of the paper has been sealed to protect it and make it easier to clean.
Reclaimed barn wood frame.
13.5 inches high, 11.5 inches wide, 2" deep at its thickest point.
